First time flashing?

  1. Check the exact board model. Matching the ESP32 chip alone does not identify its display or wiring.
  2. Open the matching project, connect a USB data cable, and close other apps using the serial port.
  3. Follow that installer's backup, install, and update steps. Keep USB connected until it finishes.

If the embedded installer cannot open the USB chooser, use Open full-screen flasher on the project page.
